OK, Guy's and Gal's, as of last month I have become one of you and have parked in the old garage a beautiful 2001, orange jewel. It is drop dead georgeous!!! and only 1957 miles. So being new, I'll have a ton of questions I will need help on from time to time, so here is one question I need an answer for. How can I find out what number my car is out of the number that was produced? The guy who had the car couldn't provide any paper work on it, so I've been ordering books, brochures, etc. Looking at the door panel I have a born on date of June 2001. If anyone can help me out holler back. THANKS You have a 2001 Chrysler Prowler,,,from the build date. Since the Prowlers and Vipers were built in the same plant [CAAP in Detroit],,,you are not going to find out the build number sequence of your particular unit in comparison to other oranges,,,,due to the way the cats and snakes were assembled and assigned VIN#'s (as I understand it). Hope we can do better with your other questions. ------------------ Call 911 - there is a Prowler in my garage.... ------------------ Classic/Beautiful - I'm referring to the Cat of course! ------------------ More 'Pumpkin' photos . . . . . More cars and other stuff New pictures in Personal Scrapbook (02/23/03) "The Prowler is not a car to go from Point A to Point B. The Prowler is the Point!" Welcome and congrats on your Orange Kat! Ask away. The knowledgeable and friendly folks here are very giving and will help in any way within reason. I loved eastern TN also. I went to school at Western Carolina and have made many trips over to ETSU and the Tri-Cities area. 3 years ago we had a national Prowler event in Pigeon Forge. If you send me your photo I'll post here for you. Make plans to attend some Prowler events and meet the great people who make this site what it is. Y2K Silver Millennium Edition and '01 Orange Rolex Editionmike82 welcome Larry D. CJ Larry, congratulations on your new cat!! A/C is correct. The Vipers and Prowlers were built at the same plant. The VIN numbers were assigned randomly between the Vipers and the Prowlers. For example, they might have assigned 6 numbers to Prowler and the next 8 to Viper, etc. Since these vehicles were handbuilt, processes were different than in normal manufacturing plant.

"I may have to grow older, but I do not have to grow up!"heynow14 It's too bad we could'nt get a list of total vin #'s from each year then do a comparison with the Viper club. Or am I missing something? LD Thanks for your help guy's.....At least ya tried....seems like some of you that replyed are also owners of orange Kats. It's a beautiful color. I have a good friend that lives across the lake from me that has a 99 red one, which I could have bought...but red just does not grab me....so the orange one I have came from Orlando, Florida. Left here on a Wednesday afternoon around 3:00, hooked up a trailor and away we went and was back home Thursday by 11:00 P.M. Quick trip, to say the least. Kingsport, Tennessee to Orlando, Florida...need to check that milage...
Anyway, if I can figure out how to post a pic, I'll give ya a look at it from a pic I took at the highest point on the Blue Ridge Parkway....I live here in the Smokie Mountains area...beautiful place. See Ya Glad to be on board...Seems like a lot of nice folks out there. Randy Cobb Larry: Bob Miller From one orange owner to another - Congratulations on the new Prowler and on getting the best color!!! ed monahan I am not on speaking terms with you since the RED does not grab you. lol
